M-43から基本的なデザイン受け継いだM-51フィールドジャケット。フロントの合わせがボタンからジッパーとスナップボタンで開閉する仕様に変更され、裾にもドローコードが追加された。こうした仕様は後継モデルのM-65に継承された。

The M-51 field jacket inherited its basic design from the M-43. The front has been changed from buttons to zipper and snap button closure, and draw cords have been added to the hem as well. These specifications were passed down to the successor model, the M-65.
