米空軍士官学校の学生に支給された防寒用のコートは1960年代後半から採用され、身頃は一重で防寒性の高い目の詰まったウールメルトンが特徴である。フードのセンターに付いたファスナーで分割が可能で、開けると収まりも良くシンプルな外観となる。空軍士官学校とは言え、ラベルを覗いて見ると厳格なミルスペック基準である事を表しており、このラベルの有無により、受ける印象が違った筈である。

The winter coat issued to US Air Force Academy cadets was adopted in the late 1960s and featured a single-layer body and a cold-resistant, dense wool melon. The zipper can make the hood flat on back. Although the Air Force Academy, the label indicates that the parka was built to strict MIL-SPEC standards, and the impression given with or without this label would surely be different.
