米海軍が第2次大戦中に採用したN-4ユーティリティージャケット。陸軍が採用したM-41フィールドジャケットに酷似しているが、その識別はM-41がカーキ色で、このN-4はオリーブ色が強く、胸にU.S.N.とステンシルされているのが識別ポイントである。用いられている素材は表地がコットンポプリンで、裏地がウールフランネルでM-41と同様である。

The U.S. Navy adopted the N-4 utility jacket during World War II. It closely resembles the M-41 field jacket that was adopted by the army. However, the M-41 has a khaki color while the N-4 has a strong olive color. In addition, N-4 can also be distinguished by the “U.S.N.” stencil printed on the chest. The materials used for N-4 are cotton poplin for the outer shell and wool flannel for lining, which are common to M-41.
